But Visio Pro is going to remain in place because of the ignore product instruction. So in other words, when I run setup and I specify this XML file, what's going to happen is that Office is going to be removed because I have the remove MSI section right there. So here you can see that I've got a remove MSI section, but within that section I've got a line ignore product ID equals Visio Pro. I'll go ahead and open that up in Notepad. I've created an XML file called selective dot XML.
And the way that you do that is by configuring an XML file to tell Office which product you want to leave. Occasionally, you may find that you need to remove a subset of the Office applications, but not all of them, and the Office deployment kit allows you to do that.
